While the Clintons have long since enjoyed an annual getaway to the Hamptons town of Amagansett, there is no escaping the past. The former president, who just turned 75 on Thursday, cut a sober figure dressed in a black T-shirt and blue-jeans, his eyes shielded by his black base-ball cap.
While the Clintons have long since enjoyed an annual summer getaway, there is no escaping the past, or the scandal that has dogged Bill through the years since he was impeached.
The sighting comes ahead of the Ryan Murphy’s much anticipated drama, ‘Impeachment: American Crime Story,’ which is set to bring the Monica Lewinsky scandal roaring back onto television screens.
The couple had walked almost half a mile when Hillary took a short break on the pier, watched over by Secret Service Agents.
Meanwhile, her husband headed off the beach and up the stairs towards Amagansett’s famous Bell Estate – an enclave of multi-million dollar houses.

Neither Bill nor Hillary seemed in much of a mood to talk as they walked along the beach Tuesday, shadowed by their Secret Service detail.
The couple just days ago celebrated Bill’s 75th birthday. Hillary shared a photo on Instagram Thursday wishing her ‘dear Bill’, a happy birthday.
Bill returned to the pier after a brief sojourn and the couple resumed their trudge along the shoreline.
Scandal: Lewinsky had a relationship with then-President Clinton as a 22-year-old unpaid White House intern, and the affair led to his impeachment in 1998. News of the affair rocked the nation in the late ’90s, turning Lewinsky into tabloid fodder for decades.
The FX drama is set to premiere September 7, with Clive Owen starring as President Bill Clinton.
